I’m actually on it and am prescribed it for pain but it still does wonders for my anxiety. I think you’ll do well with it. Just check back in and let us know

Yes I was on that before my pdoc switched me to Valium. I was prescribed 300 mg 4 x daily. It was ok for anxiety but I have panic attacks so I needed something stronger. Gab ape tin is great for restless leg syndrome. The only negative is gabapentin takes a long time before it kicks in. Well at least for me it does.

Buspar is pretty weak for bad anxiety. But if it works for some people, excellent.

I take 3000mg of gabapentin a day. Usually 3 600mg in the AM and 2 600mg in the afternoon. I use it as a mood stabilizer, but it helps with anxiety and a whole host of other things.

I wonder if my pdoc will let me switch from trintellix to that high of a dose of gabapentin for a mood stabilizer. AD just aren’t working for me. After trying and failing over 10 AD, trintellix only helped mildly.

I’ve tried gabapentin for some time.

I find valerian root worked better for me.

I had to work my way up there. It took about a year, but it works. I tried all the other mood stabilizers and they didn’t help. I still have highs and lows but for most of the year I’m pretty good. I just need to figure out how to beat winter

For seasonal affective disorder I find vitamin D to be essential.

@Mr.Dre Did it help at all or was it just nothing? I took 100 mg an hour ago and I feel nothing

It takes a few hours to kick in, unfortunately. I take vitamin d, it doesn’t help.

Ok good to know. Damn vitamin D helped me a ton… Make sure its D3, but other than that I cant really suggest anything other than your standard SSRI/SNRIs

I’m probably going to try and go up on rexulti this year. I’ve never had any luck increasing dosages of antidepressants.

This was years ago, I cant recall the exact dose.

It seemed to work okay at the time. This was when I was detoxing from alcohol so maybe that’s why I found it kind of weak. I started taking benzos shortly after.

I take 100mg of gabapentin in the AM. Too much makes me manic, but 100 is just enough for me. I also take 100-300 mg PRN if I have a panic attack. I like it because it takes away the panic without making me feel high. As an added bonus, it strongly increased my libido.

That’s about what I take a day. Probably 1 in the am. 2 more in the afternoon and 3 in the pm.

Sometimes I switch it up where I’m taking them all day. Hey have you noticed of you take 2-3 in the am and 2-3 more in the pm if that helps with mood stabilizing better than taking them throughout the whole day?

I find taking them in split doses help more. I think it’s a bioavailability matter with gabapentin. I have tried taking one 6 times a day and it just isn’t worth the hassle.
