Fund out I have severe Vitamin D deficiency

Went to my Endocrinologist for my Hypothyroid and she informed me (upon reviewing my recent labs) that I am also very deficient in Vitamin D. She is starting me on 50,000 units ,once a week, of some med I forgot the name of. Vitamin D deficiency causes major lethargy. So does Hypothyroid and so do my meds. It’s a F**king wonder I make it to school every day. She said I should feel better in a few MONTHS (it works slowly). On the plus side though, since I have been on my levothyroxine for hypothyroid, I have lost 5 pounds. I have likely had hypothyroid my whole life. I was thin so I would have been super skinny had my thyroid been functioning correctly. I am now about 130 at 5’5". If I can get off another 10 pounds I can wear my old clothes. Anyway, I hope my new Vit D med makes me feel better.

Vitamin D is great, it took me about 2 months to feel the difference. I also got a S.A.D light for seasonal affective disorder. I use the light just like a normal light, which I switched from a normal bulb in the ceiling . The SAD light took about 1 1/2 months to lift my mood. I feel better, but schizophrenia still remains. I wasn’t expecting the SAD light to cure schizophrenia, I just need a lift of mood.
