I just came back from the grocery store, I bought a small package of grapes and they were 9 dollars! I’m trying to eat healthier but damn fruit is expensive.
We get like half a kilo of grapes for a third of that price here. And that’s not even in the cheap stores. Do you live in Canada?
Yes I live in Canada @anon9798425
Weird that your fruit is so expensive.
he insulted me like mods first
We need to stop insulting each other in this thread before it heads towards suspensions. If someone insults you try to just flag it instead of returning an insult.
Technically he didn’t insult you. He just told you some sad things that might actually be true. You insulted him. And you started it.
Stop being a meanie.
@anon9798425 - Thank you!
The price of everything is going up, here is a graph of the inflation rate over the last year in Canada.
Even the unhealthy stuff is getting expensive in Canada.
Yep, it sucks! @Headspark at least minimum wage is going up soon
Yeah all kinds of groceries are expensive @TheCanuk
Including produce like fruits and vegetables
Our food where I live in the US is really expensive too. My family may need to start using the food banks again
I know the feeling. I paid $3 for a freaking star fruit yesterday. Just one.
Wow. Yeah. It’s getting worse too
Yeah, I agree. I’ve really noticed the price hikes as far as meat goes in particular.
Yeah, similar here. I bought like 4 vine tomatoes and it cost me $6 USD! Seriously, what the crap.
I used to get the same thing for like $2, in the recent past.
Lol I personally haven’t been to the store lately but It must be from inflatiron I have no idea. Haven’t seen them that expensive usually they’re like 6 bucks maybe
A small pack of bacon is like $9 at the supermarket.
It’s ridiculous.
I shop online and foods are double what they are in the store but we really don’t have a choice.
My father is old and frail and is immunocompromised and I am disabled myself.
It is very difficult for us to shop in person.
