Did the test again but more quickly and for speed of answering gave guess answers to some NB shapes. IQ significantly approved although i doubt my answers for the shape based questions were any better as they were quick guesses. This to me proves speed is a big factor on scoring well on this test and not necessarily how well the questions are answered.
You said itâŚyouâre not the only one who feels that way.
If you did some researchâŚyou may have, her Dad shook her when she was just an infantâŚand claims they had to hold her all the time or she would cry. And other stuff which they ended up deleting.
âWhen Jani was screaming in her crib that night, I should have just let her cry it out. But I didnât. I went to her again and in the process, for a second, I snapped. I picked her up and screamed âWhy wonât you sleep?â She started crying harder, which immediately snapped me back to what I had done. I felt awful.â
From Michaelâs May 2, 2009 blog post, about his rages and his violent anger:
âI have had to recall a memory of once trying to throw Susan out of our moving car because I was so angry.â
âJani saw some of my violent rages. She has seen me hit her mother and her mother hit me back.â
This was once in the âAboutâ section of Michaelâs blog, but it then ended up linked to the Furious Seasons mental health blog, authored by an investigative journalist, in an article titled âFather of Girl with Schizophrenia Admits Hitting, Starving Girlâ. He then removed it from his âAboutâ section, and removing other pieces from his posts. This can be verified by multiple people who have taken screenshots of the original âAboutâ section, and saved everything Michael has said on his blog on their computers:
âWe tried everything. Positive reinforcement. Negative reinforcement. Hitting her back (I wonât tell you how many people told us that all she needed was a good beating). We took all her toys away. We gave her toys away. We tried starving her. We did EVERYTHING we could to try and break her. Nothing worked.â
The following quote is still on Michaelâs blog:
âThe violence became so bad that at times Susan and I both lost it and hit Jani as hard as we could. We hit in impotent rage.â
There is also a site that explores the possibility she isnt even SZ but something called synesthesia/synaesthesia
By the way, my Mom was over protective and wanted a baby so bad when she had me she tried to hold me all the time. i was smothered by her, according to a family member who is a psychologist. many in the family felt it wasnât good and my Mom thought something was wrong with me because I would push away or scream to be put downâŚ
this test is easy to cheat on- taking it a second time doesnt count because it is not randomized, it is one test. I took it again and scored a 157. First try only 133
First time is the only truly accurate score I would say. taking it a second time you will be thinking of what possible answers you got wrong, or even know exactly what you got wrong, so more than likely it will be higher.
Itâs very much time based as opposed to right answer based. In a real life test it doesnât matter how quick you do it in so long as you stop at the allotted time.
Then again you may have taken longer not realising the time based element and deflated your score compared to if you had been aware of the time based element.
Also if you are thinking about answers you got wrong that would result in delayed response time which could easily offset getting a few more answers right
I didnât stop to think of which answers i got wrong but just answered significantly quicker .
I knew I would do badly on that one(but didnât do as badly as I expected) as itâs an exclusively shape based test. I could make a stab at a few answers and made educated guesses for the rest.My visual spatial IQ is (very) poor compared to my verbal . I scored 95 which is actually above average for me on such tests. On previous similar tests I have scored as low as 56 and as high as 84 for an average of 70.
I would see that test as more a measure of (visual) spatial IQ rather than overall IQ.
I took that test so many times (like over 20). First time was a couple years ago and I scored 109. Then I took it a bunch of times and my highest score was 144. Then my most recent score a few months ago was 126.
I may just be good at that kind of test because Iâve done them a lot. I think that Mensa test is pretty accurate. I feel pretty good that my iq is in the 120s. First time taking it. So before schizophrenia I was probably in the low 130 range. Still struggled in college as a math major. I wonder if adderall would have increased it. I think I have cognitive deficits that arenât addressed by iq tests. Thereâs no way I can go back to school despite having an iq in the low 120 range. I canât handle the stress, the work, the concentration, the motivation.
