Is that a good score?

Avoid IQ tests on the web they’re inaccurate. Take a real, monitored one.

That’s an excellent score.

I tried a ā€œreliableā€ IQ test online a year ago. I had to pay for it.

I scored 190

Yes many are, but it’s totally wrong to say all such tests are inaccurate.

I guess I got a good score then lol

I’m horrible at doing math in my head - that’s what torpedoed me.

I’m a big visual spatial thinker and a bit mathematic. Just have a verbal learning disability. I’m not alone though, Einstein was the same way. He couldn’t talk till he was 5

I’m the opposite . Far better at verbal than visual spatial .(mental rotation eek!!) .

I’m good at watching things happen in my head, like physical things like the speed of light and how spacetime warps etc.

My weakness in verbal intelligence is I know what to say but can’t put the proper words together to say what I want.

I’m mildly dyslexic, which doesn’t help. I have a vocabulary from Hell, so I instantly got all the word problems despite my dyslexia. I used to read dictionaries when I was younger.

For me it was encyclopaedias . That started pre school, some time before the 1960 Kennedy/ Nixon election . I’d talk about ā€˜Disney Walt’ which I could only have got from the index of the 12 volume set of children’s’ encyclopaedias my parents had recently bought. I was <4 years old.

I couldnt finish it in time. Got through 60%. It gave me no score. I had a real IQ test done before tho but i wonder how i would score now compared to then. I would bet lower. I had a 22 point gap in my verbal vs non verbal scores. Verbal being lower. And the score was adjusted for learning disability.

Result showed 44% was not able to complete the entire thing

Haha. I answered 40 out of 50 questions before the time was up. And my score was 80%.

I guess I’m slow but not stupid. If that makes sense…

I think double the time, and most people could do well on it The difficulty is answering all questions within the allotted time. It’s 14.4 secs per question.

Understanding, Diagnosing, and Coping with Slow Processing Speed - Davidson Institute.

My processing speed is erratic . I can get through and do well enough on tests like that which require a good processing speed. On the other hand I don’t do well with digit symbol substitution(those with ASD and those with schizophrenia aren’t too good at it)

I didn’t hurry. I realized I’d run out of time, but I value accuracy over speed.

Nothing at all wrong with that in itself, but not the purpose of the test. You’d be in your element with high range untimed tests.

There’s some good numerical tests there, I’m sure you’d do excellently at.
