Followed by a cop today

i wasnt doing anything wrong, i was coming back from an AA meeting going for a ride when i started getting following by a cop

whichever turn i made, he made it

i figure i was profiled for my bumper stickers (theyre nothing offensive, just my favorite bands and a little jimi hendrix quote about how power is bad)

finally he went the other way

it was like 20-25 mph speed limit most of the way and i had an impossible time staying under the speed limit…he could’ve pulled me over at times i was going 5 mph over but he didn’t

and i had forgotten to take my second dose of klonopin for the day so i became very anxious and stressed

oh well…like i said i was doing nothing wrong but still annoying

ive been pulled over before for talking on my cell phone when i wasnt, the officer was very rude to me…probably cuz it was a girl and they figure they have to put their foot down even MORE than male officers, and she asked why i was so nervous (because you make me nervous)…but i hate being profiled

oh well, it killed my buzz i got from AA…i was on a high for a moment there til this cop started following me

sucks

Police always make me nervous too, even when I’m not doing anything wrong. I wonder how common it is.

Police weren’t the enemy of the people, until the whole stupid drug war thing happened. Then it created an “us and against them” mentality. They used to be considered heroes, now I think most people fear them, even your average law abiding citizen.

Yeah, and they don’t do themselves any favors as far as like-ability goes. The only decent interaction I had with police was the ones investigating my brother’s murder, and even they were kind of dicks about certain things.

I think I’ve only gotten two traffic tickets in my life, but I still always get nervous if there’s a police vehicle behind me. The longer they’re behind me the more slowly I drive to ensure I’m staying well below the speed limit. They finally get impatient with my slow-poke driving and pull around me and go on their merry way :relaxed:

I’m a law abiding citizen but still nervous around cops.

I know so many people who in all right should be calling the cops at times but never do just because it’s an “us vs them” ordeal…

It’s sick because a lot of bad people get away with a lot of bad ■■■■ just because those not so bad people close to them don’t want to be rats… either out of respect or fear… or just straight up disdain for a world policed by the government… sad ■■■■…

prisons are swelling up anyways… breeding grounds for crime itself. what can be done?

It is what it is. Sh*t happens. I’m sorry it killed your buzz, but that’s just what cops do every now and then. They get behind you for some reason You really don’t know the cops motive for following you, it could be for a number of reasons. It might happen again or it might not.

yeah it is what it is, there will always be AA tomorrow to get me going again

btw when i was younger i used to consider myself an activist for marijuana rights, and I would always come across some things like “Police for reform of marijuana laws” they have a whole organization for it and everything. A lot of police are really against the drug war (marijuana most specifically), others are too scared to stand up, and others probably like the power.

I assume most of the police against the drug war reside if rough cities where most of the crime is at least cornered around drugs/drug dealers.

No worries they just running your plates…normal ■■■■…
