First time latuda

Hello ive never really responded to meds tried riperdrol zyprexa invega and abilify none worked at all and had many side effects. Started latuda tonight at 40 mg and after a week should be on 80 how fast does it work for voices and how do i exactly titrate up to 80?

Your Dr should have told you how. I was on Latuda 80mg but it didn’t work well and I had akathisia.

He told me after one week i can go up to 80 thats all he said and btw i only hear voices and been coping with this meds free for about 10 years… abilify gave me the worst akathisia only on 10 mg couldnt even last a week on that

Good luck, hope Latuda works for you. I remember when I was on it I had to eat 350 calories with the pill.

I hope it works for you, in my case I went from abilify to latuda to see if I start to lose weight. Starting tomorrow I start taking lurasidone.

I’m on 80 mg on latuda and am stable.

Been stable on latuda for about six years now.

I’m on Latuda. I went 20mg, then 40mg, then 60mg. Upped it every 2 weeks. Latuda must be taken with 350 calories (or more) of food.

I started it in 2019. Best med I’ve tried. Gave me my life back, or as close as you can get having schizophrenia. Took a couple months after I hit 60mg to become fully effective.

I have zero symptoms. I used to have auditory, visual and tactile hallucinations as well as delusions.

I developed akathisia but I take 75mg of Trazodone at the same time as my Latuda and it completely eliminates that problem.

Before 60mg of Latuda I was in 40mg of Zyprexa. Zyprexa worked but the side effects were putting me at risk for an early death so I switched to Latuda.

I am on 129.5mg and it seems to work but if I get stressed out then it lets me down

Thanks for the replies guys ya i started at 40 pretty much got akathisia from the first dose lol… here in my country we dont have trazodone and propranolol kind of scares me cuz i also take cialis twice a week are than any safe options for akathisia meds other than those 2? My dr suggested low dose mitrazapine aka remeron anyone try it?

And guys im already about 220 pounds will a low dose mitrazapine make me huge i really have no ther option… is it as bad as zyprexa weigjt gain

Thanks and do you think ill get really overweight from remeron 15 mg im taking that too coumteract the akathisia and for depression its the lowest dose of mitrazapine

Thanks for the reply the reason i keep getting off meds is because after a month the voices are pretty much still around so i quit so your sayying i should wait longer for symptom relief?

I’m on Latuda (and also Seroquel and Lithium Carbonate). The combo works pretty well for me. It’s been a while that I’ve been on this concoction, so I can’t really remember how fast it helped.

Hello and Thanks how much latuda do you take? Latuda gave me a little akathisia so my dr prescribed a low dose mitrazapine 15 mg even 7.5 if i want to take half… i chose latuda because i heard its not that bad for weight but now i jabe to take remeron which i heard can make me gain weight my doc says its a low dose so i shouldnt worry
