Good luck.

When I took it, I took it in the evening. I would feel good during the day, but then I got major depression in the evening before I took my next dose of Latuda. I figured this depression might be because I was out of touch with my feelings on zyprexa which now was surfacing and that it would pass with time. Unfortunatley I couldn’t get any sleep when I quit zyprexa so after about two weeks I had to go back on it. It’s ashame because I think Latuda could have been good for me in the long run.

Anyway, I hope it works for you.

I switched from zyprexa to rexulti and the difference in side effects was night and day.

Rexulti…? Does that help you sleep?

I am also on zyprexa and considering to switch, but sleep is a big problem since I get insomnia when going off zyprexa. I tried switching to Latuda but had to give up because I could not sleep on it.

I don’t find it sedating in the slightest, which was a bit of a change, having been on Seroquel and zyprexa extensively

I am on Latuda twice a day, 18,5 mg and 75 mg in the evening and it works so good for me :blush::cherry_blossom::four_leaf_clover: And risperidone besides. Good luck with the switch :cherry_blossom::four_leaf_clover::rainbow:

I still haven’t started to reduce my dose of zyprexa yet, so right now I’m on 7.5mg Zyprexa + 18.5mg Latuda. I don’t feel much different at all really, but maybe I will notice a difference when I start to reduce the zyprexa (which I will start doing in a few days).

I’m doing a cross taper (which I guess is normal). Slowly increase the latuda while decreasing the zyprexa at the same rate.

I see. I actually felt that the minimal dose of 18.5mg was good for me the short while I tried it. I went up to 37, but that was only because I hoped to get better sleep which I didn’t. I felt better on 18.5 than 37. I had a different approach though. We just stopped the zyprexa at 5mg and went straight over to Latuda.

And yeah, I think the zyprexa dominates. You will probably feel totally different when you are only taking Latuda like I did.

I would tell you what to expect based on my experience but we react to drugs differently and have different experiences. Good luck.
