Finally having colonoscopy Friday. Big long list of instruction on what I need to do or not do in the days leading up to procedure.
Diabetes complicates it somewhat the day before and day of.
Anyway, it will be relief to finally have it done.
Busy week this week with the GI appt today, Doc tomorrow, sleep study appt Thursday and colonoscopy Friday.

The stuff they have you drink is a lot better than 15 years ago.
Best wishes.

It’s good that you’re taking care of yourself. I need to get a colonoscopy also. The doctor has been asking me to get one since I turned 50 (in a few weeks I turn 60). The doctor told me that a benign polyp at age 50 may be a cancerous polyp at age 60.
My girlfriend has had 3 colonoscopies. The prep is the worst part of the whole procedure.

Finally!
I don’t think I’ve ever been so happy for someone getting a colonoscopy.

For some reason I always thought this stuff was called Go Lightly which seemed like an odd name considering that the opposite happens.

I grabbed my paperwork as the stuff you linked did not sound familiar.
I’m going to take Dulcolax tablets and also a mixture of Miralax and Gatorade.

I had a colonoscopy a couple years ago and i had to take dulcolax as well as some generic lemonade flavored concoction similar to golytely. It was awful. Gatorade sounds much better.

Make sure you replace your sodium by drinking chicken broth or Gatorade during your prep.
