Feeling ‘under medicated’

So a couple of months ago I upped my depixol from 120mg to 200mg and halved my seroquel from 600mg to 300mg.

Was ok at first but I am suffering now. Just feel undermedicated if that makes sense. I become very ‘desperate’ for the want of a better word.

I get stressed real easy and my paranoia (though always there anyway) is kinda running wild.

My pdoc doesn’t like me talking about meds to my nurse - by that I mean Not asking them for permission to change meds because they aren’t allowed to do that.

Should I tell my nurse I am feeling undermedicated so she can tell my pdoc at the next multidisciplinary meeting on Thursday?

Do you have enough Seroquel to last if you up your dose?

No. But I wouldn’t up my dose without permission because we already upped my depixol.

Im not like you - if i feel i need it - i up my dose, THEN tell them i have done - and they usually agree. They trust me to be resposible with it. I dont go around asking for permission first! lol. I always keep a stash of extra pills for that reason. But i understand you want to do it properly.

It could be maybe because your depixol is wearing out, in how many days you need to take the depot?

I couldn’t up my dose when I was on oral APs, I was on already high doses. My pdoc upped the one out of two of them once. My suggestion is if for any reason you feel the need to up your Seroquel, dont do it on your own. You can get hospitalized for that. Since now you are on a new injection dose. The higher dose also needs to be medically decided so thats why pdocs have to give the “ok”. We don’t know if it needs to be 50-100-150 etc. Good luck Thursday and hang in there with the whole concentration thing, adjusting to medicine can really kill your concentration.

Glad you made the call. Dealing with worsening symptoms is a red flag for me. It’s very unlikely to magically get better on its own.

@anon94176359 I hope things turn around for you. Med changes are usually difficult. I’m sorry you are feeling unwell.
