Really want to stop reducing my seroquel. Not sure I can endure the withdrawals

Two weeks ago I was on 600mg. Now am on 300mg but feel terrible. I am tempted to just up my dose again but my pdoc also upped my depixol depot by a fair bit so it could be dangerous

Can you call your pdoc?:thinking::thinking:

I can phone my nurse and she could get in contact with them

Please communicate this with your doctor not with us. You need to let them know that this is too intense a process for you and you want a more gradual tapering process.

Totally. I won’t re up my seroquel but it is after hours now and the crisis team has gone for the day. Hospital is 50miles away

You should really contact your pdoc, or if worse goes to worse up the dosage yourself.

In the uk system you don’t directly contact your pdoc. It all has to be done through a nurse

If i was in your position - i would up my dose back upto 600mg. I really cant see how it could damage you with an upped depot.
I would rather take the risk and feel better. And then of course tell your CPN when you see them.

I see my nurse on Thursday for my depot. But I am not gonna tweak my meds.

Every time I thought I knew more than my doc I ended up in trouble. Would rather feel ■■■■ from withdrawals than lose the trust of my team

But thanks for post

Maybe ask your CPN what she can do, when I did she put me on diazepam for 2 weeks, it sorted the problem out.

have you been getting symptoms or is it just withdrawals bc if the withdrawals clear up then it could be worth it to be off of that med (if you dont need it)

can you phone and ask how long the withdrawals last and if there is anything you can take to help with withdrawals? you never know but something might ease it.

Good point @daydreamer. It is 100% withdrawals. Not a return of psychosis. I would love to just be on the depot so I think I be just gotta put up with these unpleasant things

you can phone your out of hours anytime though, they are really good with me and will give you some really good advice, even if they put your mind at ease a bit its worth it.

We don’t have a dedicated out of hours here. We are told to phone nhs 24 after 6:30pm

Headache, nausea and extreme hunger at the same time, blurred vision

I was just reading about serequel withdrawal and I didn’t see any positives. Hang in there, not sure what to think about the blurred vision

I went from 900mg to 0 in three days, so I know what you are going through. I was miserable and thought I was going to die. You can get through this. At least you are on another medication, to cover it.

The blurred vision could be from the procyclidine I have started taking for akathisia
