Feeling stressed out need a opinon

Hi everyone. I have been at my current job for almost 7 years now and lately I have becoming more and more stressed out lately. I have been working at tim hortons in Canada as a baker. I am an introvert but I do get along well with the people and the management there. but heres the thing they don’t like when someone is quiet they always tease and pick on you for that. its an unpleasant working environment to be in sometimes the people don’t say hi/adknowledge to you first meanwhile they talk a lot to the other people and having a good time. most of the people there act scared of me when I am talkative and give only one word or two word answers. theres awhole lot of gossip and drama that goes on there. its really hard being the only guy working all the time with the female staff and youre expected to do everything yourself no teamwork and the managers don’t and I do plan on going to school to get a real career someday. I am thinking about quitting so I can finally move on and get a better job. im 28 and I don’t want to be a loser forever working so hard for low pay.

Decide if the stress is worth it, worth the money, security, over mental health. I quit my job because the stress was too much and it simply wasn’t worth it. i suppose it depends on how bad it is to you. Can you get by without the job?

It sounds like a toxic work environment. You should totally move on to better things, and from everything you wrote it seems like you already know that.

Sometimes, you work with jerks. It sucks, but it happens. Just focus on doing your job well, and keep an eye open for better job opportunities.

I can go and work for another fast food chain or another tim hortons. the people there are just being builles. fast food isn’t exactly a career theres a huge turnover rate.

In my experience, most food service jobs are toxic environments to work. It’s because there is constant pressure to be faster, the managers have no actual manager experience, and the other workers are generally inexperienced at behaving professionally.

Don’t really like my boss. She’s loud and can be overly aggressive at times. All they do is talk and talk even when they’re doing their work.
I just feel out of place there and uncomfortable. On egg shells. the managers they take advantage of people and don’t really apperaciate hard work they like to talk down to people.

First what are your skills ?

Then Next one is :
Do you have a resume` ?
“If not Make one.”

Then Next question :
What do you like to do ?

Next:
What do you wanna do ?

Then make a decision to get a better job or get into school and make a better life ?

Your not alone, I feel the same way about my co-workers.

It stressed me out too, but now how I cope with it is just not give a ■■■■ about them and their cliques. I also have head phones in for much of the day so people don’t bother me as much. Not sure if you could do the same.

If you’re not happy, I am sure you could find another job. I got an entry level office job five years ago now, and I now just sit working at a computer all day playing around with data and get left alone.
