I don’t know what to do

I hate my job. It totally stresses me out. I’ve applied to many jobs and have not had one response.

I work so hard for so little money. Corporate couldn’t care less about us.theres a lot of pressure and it’s completely stressing me out.

We can’t afford our food without me working and the food banks have been giving out very expired dairy etc.

How do I change my attitude and not let it affect me? Or what else can I do?!?!

i asked chat gpt something similar once. its suggestion was stay with current job and save as much as you can, preparing quietly for your next move

There is a lot of pressure for a high level of performance at my job as well @LilyoftheValley . And its hard on my joints, and when I move wrong, my back as well. So, I understand where you are coming from. I really need the extra income atm, though.

We do get paid decent, though.

I’m not sure what advice to give you. I guess just keep applying and keep your fingers crossed.

I can’t save as all my money goes to food. I’m trying to plan an exit but no one is interested in me

Change your attitude. Keep applying for other jobs. It’s smarter to not quit until you have another job lined up.

@Bowens , I get paid minimum wage. My pay comes to about $600/ month. Due to inflation, my family now needs $800/month for food, and cleaning supplies and toiletries etc from the grocery store.

I’m sorry you’re under pressure too. It sucks.

@77nick77 when I’m at work, I smile and I try to take it moment by moment. People at my work think I love my job. But I’m dealing with inner turmoil and dread. I’m trying to find ways to change that but haven’t yet

I can understand the fear. I’ve had multiple times where my job stress got to the point where I had a mental breakdown, quit, and landed in the psych ward. Not fun

Sorry to hear that happened to you. I hope you can hang in there a little longer until you find a better job. Best wishes

Not sure what to say but want to show moral support. You’ll pull through. Maybe you could learn about job hunting skills from books or YouTube or negotiation and gain a better job or wage that way? Just an idea.

Perhaps you could contact old friends as well and see if they’re hiring.

@LilyoftheValley I have a question. When you started working again did it trigger a disability review for you? How many hours a week do you work?

@POET , I used a job service for mentally ill to get tips. I’m on a waitlist to use them again so I need to focus on that. Thanks for your support

@Rainstorm it did but I work 15 hours or less and do a very low intelligence job and I get paid slave wages so it was no problem
