Is that the normal situation? Or would it be different if your nurse and doctor were there?!
I hope you are feeling better soon @Jimbob
You deserve to feel better than this, you are such a nice person.
I hope you are feeling better @Jimbob. Take care.
not sure. But apparently my doctor stipulated the benzos are only allowed when all psychosocial interventions are exhausted. So I think this explains it. Is quite a tough deal for me I think. I mean how do you define when all psychosocial interventions have failed?
Good question. At my work we have to be mindful of biopsychosocial factors interfering with people’s recovery from injuries in the workplace. It’s such a nebulous concept. I really hate that rule. People are either recovering or they aren’t and for those who aren’t we should be helping them. Simple. We aren’t social workers, we are insurers.
It’s a bit overkill. Maybe explain to your doctor you need 2 or 3 benzos a month and going 20 miles to get them isn’t an option.
Your only other option is to revisit l-theanine.
Funny - I was thinking about the l-theanine today. I can get it online and is relatively inexpensive. Any particular brand you would recommend?

If you only use it for emergencies, it’s probably worth it.
