Feeling great on Invega

So i got injected with Invega today, I was a bit nervous throughout the day, but now I feel calm and content. My pdoc said maybe ill need to inject with one last haldol depot dose, we will discuss later. My pdoc said today to my mom that haloperidol is making me a vegetable and its good to make this change. He also said to take escitalopram of my previous med combo that I managed to live alone, work and study.

Glad you got a good med change.

75 mg Invega every 28 days works for me.

What I am working on is being more active. Part of being holistic.

Invega was good to me when I could afford it. I’m glad you like it

I tried 50mg-200mg monthly haloperidol shots and was feeling weirdly emotionally sedated all the time. It helped my not to fully relapse, but was still having some paranoia issues under a lot of stress. Also my cognition declined a lot under haldol

I have energy on it but I have side effects I don’t like and I’m still paranoid all the time. I’m aware I’m paranoid but I can’t stop or control it

What side effects do you have? Doesnt your pdoc recommend a switch if youre still paranoid?

I see her Friday. I’ve only been on it 2 months. I’ve tried like 12 or 13 different meds, all up to the highest dose possible. Nothing stops it. I’m not a good candidate for clozapine due to health issues so there’s that too
