I had my first injection of olanzapine 5 weeks ago. It’s like the effect has decreased this last week, and I feel unstable.
Is the level of the drug reduced at the end of the period and can anyone relate to having a decreased effect just before the next jab?
Im having my next depot injection tomorrow.
You don’t have oral olanzapine as prn?
When I was on Risperdal consta, I felt it wears of three days before next injection…

Yep chiming in as well. I tend to notice when my invega jab is wearing off. “Vicky” creeps in. I have a good supply of pills to tide me over when the jab next is due.
They wont increase the injection for some reason. Fine for 3 weeks, last weeks always a bummer. They will sometimes give the jab to me early tho, if i moan enough lol.
I get severe anxiety the day before my injection because I dont like leaving the house.

How do you feel after the Olanzapine injection? I wanted to try it but my psychiatrist said to take the Invega Sustenna injection so I did that instead.
I feel okay today. Better than yesterday so i will take tablets at the end of my next period.
I don’t know much about Invega, beware olanzapine can cause weight gain, but i can deal with it
I know. I took Olanzapine pills and got up to over 280lbs. I was able to lose about 50lbs when I switched meds but the last 30-40lbs I can’t lose for some reason.
damned, yes putting on weight is a lot easier than loosing it. I put on 10 pounds on olanzapine and then it stabilized.
Thats why i use half of the dose oral half as injection.for example my current dose is equal to 12mg invega.now i use 350mg three monthly trevicta which is equal to 6mg oral daily invega.other 6mg i use as oral daily tablets.it works as wonders
