Feel Like My Brain Cells Are deteriorating

I feel like I lost more intelligence after each psychotic break, to which I stopped counting after like my fifth episode in seven years. Can anyone else relate? I can’t read as well or write either.

I think my first psychotic break was so bad it fried my brain. I used to have a sharp intelligence before that. I don’t think it’s gotten any worse since then though.

But yeah, there was a big step down after my first break.

I can feel my intelligence dropping after years of psychotic breaks too. I hate the feeling.

My psychiatrist once explained to me that when there is a prolonged psychotic outbreak, neurons die. I searched on the Internet on my own about this but I don’t think I found any information on the subject.

I got an MRI a while back. I had white spots in my brain.

I have a hard time holding conversations. I use to feel a lot lighter and things were easier. Now I get tired when talking to people about anything even a little involed. On the flip side some of us still have our creative side…

My brain is unusual

Sometimes having a different perspective than most people can be highly valued in itself

Things that seem obvious to me are not to others and vice versa

Don’t be afraid to bring up new ideas

I had psychosis on and off for 13 years. Some days are good or better than other days. I also had dissociation. I don’t think psychosis goes away with sz/sza.

I feel emotionally stunted. I feel like I’m stuck in 2011 and am still 22 years old despite being 35. It seems unreal to me. I feel like I’m in an infinite loop or something like reincarnation.

I go through phases. Sometimes it’s worse, sometimes it’s better. Schizophrenia used to be thought of as a type of dementia.
