Ah man that sucks, can’t you do isolation movements? Running is also heavy on your back maybe get into some yoga
Hmm yea I’d have to avoid all my favourite lifts and idk either way I can hardly do anything. No situps, can hardly do pushups because it requires a planking position which hurts my back, can’t do squats.
Running is ok for me personally. My back is fine as long as I don’t load it up with weight and over compress my spine.
Damn… back injuries are the worst man. You cannot do any exercises…
Yea idk when it heals I can do a lot of stuff just can’t really load up weight on my back. I could just still go to the gym and just like avoid weighted squats and stuff but idk. I don’t like feeling restricted. Maybe it’s just a sign I’m called to do something else. Once I start lifting weights I’m gonna be tempted to do heavy weights again so. Rather just choose a different sport.
How did the injury happen? Anyways, as long as you are active you will be good.
Yea dude. Happened doing inverted squat machine and heavy overhead presses.
Do you think your form was kinda meh? I have had back injuries before and became a form nerd afterwards…
I already have the size I want anyways I really just need to cut down so jogging is the best option for me
It’s time to join an mma gym
No clue. I don’t really focus on form. Just there to lift heavy and get my happy chemicals.
Bumped my cardio up to 25 minutes today. Can’t say im going to do 25 minutes everyday from here on out… but felt like doing an extra 5 minutes today.
Nice work man! 73737
Thanks man how’s your back feeling today?
Np dude. Ahh my back is hell. Lol I can’t even walk. Had to make a crutch today just to do basic things around my apartment. Will take a while to heal. Last time I lift weights lol
Lifting heavy weights can definitely be dangerous and cause injuries, but i’m a strong believer in that lifting light to medium weights for high reps has lots of health benefits.
Very true dude…
I’m simply not able to any more. I mean maybe I’ll do basic things like pushups and calisthenics but as far as lifting massive weights and getting a gym membership etc im out of that game for good. Every time I mess up my back that’s another month down the drain.
@POET - I remember reading you say on the forum you want to get into running. I’d say that’s a great idea broski. If I was only able to do one, running or lifting, i’m gong with cardio 100% of the time.
Skipped pump class yesterday but got some good.exercise lugging a hiking pack full of groceries home on my bike…
I have like the opposite, I follow that starting strength program but when I stop lifting my body just starts hurting everywhere. Although running is my favorite exercise
Did some decent outdoor walking during our warm spell. 2 miles in one go! By the end of last summer, I was up to 4 miles, but it’s hard to maintain that in the winter. The treadmill is my least favorite.
