Exercise and Weight Loss Group

Let’s support one another with our physique goals, and keep each other motivated.

What kind of exercises will you do, or healthy meal plan?

I am gaining a little weight and seeing the muscle turn, so started training again the past few weeks. Squats, pull ups, pushups, planks and crunches and dips. Feeling good with yoga too :+1:

This may be a long shot at actually taking root, but let’s give it a go!

I’m going through physical therapy right now. And having to do the exercise at home. The therapist said not to overdo it. My back surgery is a month and a 1/2. And I didn’t know if the exercises would actually help me any. Before then I used to do old age Yoga. Obviously my goal is to do my therapy. Once a day.

PT can do wonders and hope it does you good.

I had rotator cuff surgery once and worked at PT as much as possible, even pushing it, and fully recovered.

I’m eating 2k cal a day while exercising 2/3 times a week, full body.

I’ve realized that going to the gym and dieting when you don’t want to do it, counts more towards your fitness journey. Because those are the times (when you stop for a week or so) that you’re closer to giving up.

I’m doing squats, rows, bench press, overhead press, pull ups and deadlifts on two rotating separate days.

I tried incorporating some exercise in daily.
Just to stay mobile as I age.
There’s no way I can do enough to lose weight

You have a nice program @dreamer54

I used to have a home gym, but have very little weights to work with now after moving.

Any amount is a good thing. Someone advanced in years once told me, a person is only as old as their spine is flexible.

Good reason to stretch

“A person is only as old as their spine is flexible”.

I would agree with this. But I would say as much as all your joints are flexible.

I go to gym every day for 1.5h. Trying to build up some muscles and getting a good fitness level to not being exhausted after a few stairs. I split the training sessions in arms, legs and upper body.

I’m doing it straight for almost two month now :+1:

Im jogging through town for around half an hour most mornings. Its trippin me out how much my endurance has increased over the past few months doing it. Im 30 yrs old and i started smoking when i was 12. I feel ive started to heal some of the damage done from that. And from the sedentary sz lifestyle. Im also still trying to eat more veggies. They really improve my mood and cognition when i have them a lot.

That is a good goal, and a healthy one.

My whole life I have tried to gain weight but was unable until now. So I’m doing my best to make it muscle.

That sounds great! You will be glad you did. Check in with how it’s going…

I walk for 45 mins every morning. I need to start dieting if I want to lose though. Right now I’m happy just getting the exercise.

Man I am so happy for you. You’re going to feel great. I am feeling so much better now I am exercising. It would be cool to be able to workout any time of day. I used to like morning workouts; the people that go then are the most friendly. The open gym at 3am would be sweet too.

Are you excited to go? Do you have any favorite exercises… weights, machines, cardio…?

I’ve been in the past but not ever since I quit smoking. I’m not skilled at anything in particular, I just free play it; doing what ever I feel like and whatever is available

I’m looking forward to it tho, because now that I don’t smoke - I should enjoy it more and benefit more.
