Going to a concert tonight, should be fun . Thereās going to be a lot of driving, mostly highway, but Iāll get through it. My friend Iām taking lives 45 minutes away from me by highway, then another hour and a half on a different highway to get to the concert hall. The drive home wonāt be bad, though, traffic will be light then, but Iāll be hitting rush hour on the way there (doors open at 6).
The concert will let out around midnight, and I know we will both be hungry by then, so we plan to go to a Dennyās a few miles from the concert hall afterward. Itās a small venue, but thatās the only kind of concert I ever go to. Not too expensive, admission will be around $20-25 for each of us. I hope they have some good opening acts, too. Iāve seen the headliner ten or eleven times before, they put on a great show.
This is a good live video taken at a show of theirs several years ago. Half of the band members in this video are no longer with the band, and they never perform this song anymore, but it gives you an idea of what their live show is like:
Yeah, I get a little paranoid in crowds, find myself constantly checking my pockets to make sure no one has picked them, but overall it will still be a blast. Iāve never been to this venue before, but there will be probably only around 100 people there.
In February I was thinking of going to Mountain Jam this summer-----------Itās in upstate new Yorkā¦tom petty, steve miller band, peter Framptonā¦but then I went into the hospital in march and decided I shouldnāt goā¦its a festival not a concert though but similar type of thing.
The Yankees are my most hated sports team lol, right up there with the New England Patriots. Iām a Detroit Tigers and Lions fan (yeah the Tigers are sucking this year). How are the Yankees doing this year? I just know the Tigers are below .500, 4th in their division.
Boooo!!! Yankees are likeable this year (at least for me bahahahah). Patriots are my least favorite sports team. Yankees are doing good. And they have the most likeable player in MLBā¦Aaron Judge heās a rookie, heās like Derek Jeter if Derek Jeter could hit 40-50 homeruns every year.
Just got home from the concert, had a blast, even if I was in pain for most of it (my back). Mushroomhead put on a great show, as always, and I liked the opening acts as well. One of them, called The Browning, I liked enough to buy their cd. I underestimated how many people would be in attendance- it was more like 300+ people packed into a small concert hall. I kept checking my pockets, no one stole anything lol. The energy at that place was, for lack of a better word, insane. Well, Iām going to sleep in just a few minutes; itās after 3:30 a.m. here.
I am very excited about tonight too! My friend and I are going to hear
"Mahlerās Ninth" tonight at the Holland Center in Omaha, NE. I havenāt been to the symphony in many years. Iām excited to go. Neither my friend or I have a car. My friendās man friend is driving us there. We are very grateful to him.
Iām glad youāre enjoying Mushroomhead . If by first album you are referring to āXX,ā that is a very good starting point- itās the album that got me started listening to them when it came out in 2001. They released three self-produced albums prior to that (self-titled, Superbuick and M3); XX was their first under a label and was basically a compilation of the best songs from those three self-produced albums. Iām not a fan the self-titled cd, but I like everything else they have made, though some more than others. If you like XX, give XIII a try. I would say those two albums were their two best, though their most recent one, āThe Righteous and the Butterflyā is quite good as well. \m/
