Once a week I go hang out with my bud, but we normally just hang out at his house. I always stay for only a couple hours, since his household is chaos (three young kids), and two hours is about all I can do there.
Tonight, however, he, his wife, one other person and I are going to a concert. I’m so excited! I love concerts, plus it means I’ll be leaving my apt around 4:00 to go pick them up and won’t be getting back until probably around 2:30-3am. I’ll be doing a few hours of driving each way, but I’m used to driving a lot.
Should be fun!

Well, the headliner is a metal band called Flaw; they had a couple semi-hits in the early 2000s, but my bud and I are more interested in one of the opening acts, Righteous Vendetta. Righteous Vendetta could be considered metal or hard rock, depending on which song of theirs you’re listening to.

I believe admission is only $15 for this one, nice cheap concert, small venue.

It was, indeed, a great night out, just got home. Awesome show. There were no local bands, just the three bands that are touring together: Source, Righteous Vendetta, and Flaw. All three bands played great sets. I bought a Source cd, had never heard of them but they have sort of a Tool feel, as well as a Righteous Vendetta t-shirt. It was a good night.
