Ever go without sleep?

I woke up yesterday at three p.m. I don’t know if I’m going to sleep now it’s about five a.m. Do you ever go without sleep on purpose? I belong to the population that sleeps too much.

i suffer from insomina specifically maintaining sleep and i woke up several times at night this is due to metformin and its irreversible side effect even after discontinueation.

As a general rule of thumb, i do not purposely go without sleep. I try to go to bed at the same time each night, and get up at the same time each morning. It isn’t easy, as my depression can make it hard for me to fall asleep. And then the medications make it hard to wake up.

I usually sleep 12-14 hours a day on clozapine but since my pdoc added Vraylar I’ve only been sleeping about 5-6 hours each night. I have a hard time figuring out what to do with all those extra hours I have awake now!

I stayed up until nearly 2 am last night hoping to photograph northern lights (they were out the night before, but I missed them). No luck and I’m dragging this morning because of it.

Yes. I understand this very well. I, too, try to intentionally go to sleep sometimes on purpose. It’s a dangerous thing, especially when one can only achieve sleep through medication.

Last time I didn’t sleep well was because of some damn mosquitoes biting me, I took care of that and i’m sleeping fine now.
