Just been told I can’t be mentally ill as I haven’t been in hospital for quite a few years.
Who told you that? Does the opinion matter?
Thats ridiculous, who told you this?
I have not been Hospitalized in years, Im still mentally ill.
Someone who has posted here but said it on another forum . They had made a pro Scientology/anti treatment post and I had commented.
Than it really doens’t matter…
Some folk are full of ■■■■
If it’s any consolation, @firemonkey…I think you’re nuttier than a fruitcake!!
Am Jest Keeding!!!
Oh. Three guesses who, first two don’t count
Edit: @firemonkey, he’s been having a very rough time lately and wasn’t stable the last time I saw him. Try to let it roll off your back.
Yeah i totally understand you. I also get this feeling that everybody who knows me thinks that because i am not in hospital and am not as insane and delusional as i was back there that therefore i am completely normal now and am like everybody else. No, that is not the case.

You lurker
One of the big problems I’ve noticed with myself, though, is that between crises, people believe I’m all better, and I believe it, too. This mindset lets me ignore warning signs until it’s too late and the next crisis is here.
It took me way too long to learn that my mental health is something I need to work on and prioritize as much when I’m relatively healthy as when I’m relatively not.
I often have doubts whether I’m mentally ill despite evidence to the contrary(ie would psychiatrists have seen me for over 40 years? Would I be on a depot if I wasn’t?)
I am never sure whether it is due to a fragile sense of insight or not. I don’t need someone else feeding that uncertainty though.
I think this is a really common thought - I’ve felt it myself and I’ve heard it from several people. It’s the kind of thought that deters you from getting the help you need and taking proper care of yourself.
You’re from the Land of the Stiff Upper Lip. You’re culturally prone to brushing off your distress! Just keep an eye on this tendency in yourself and do your best to recognize when people are feeding into it, like you did here.
Don’t listen to them @firemonkey , their opinions don’t matter. Trust the professionals, not some pro scientology nut.
don’t take this the wrong way…
but i have been reading your posts for over two years…
you are mentaly ill.
here is your nut to make it official.
you are a good person @firemonkey …you have nothing to prove.
hold your head up high.
hug.
take care
Scientologists are probably the most gigantic looking crack pots, in the eyes of a psychiatrist. They really are full of ■■■■ though.
I don’t want to ever go to the
psych hospital . That would not be fun
