We got one for my 17 yr old daughter. She fell once and never used it again. So now my mom uses it and she really likes it.

We also got my son an electric scooter at 14. He loves it. Uses it all the time to go see his local friends.

Ebikes are awesome. Im renting an emountain bike for a trip i have this summer. Im too out of shape to get ready for it and its 4 days of big climbs in the mtns. So i decided ebike!

Ebikes are great dude… no need to be in perfect shape but you get to exercise decently…love it.

I’m not pedalling it but i would if i had to, its pedal assisted but its got a throttle on it as well, so it means i can just nip about. technically it can go over the legal limit of 15mph but it can be restricted to that. i wouldnt be going down public cycle paths at top speed anyway.

ebikes are so neat! With a good quality one, you set how fast you want to go, and the bike makes up the speed with the electric motor. So you can have a consistent peddling and speed as if you are on flat ground but the bike makes the hills and valleys not so bad. Of course you can just let the bike drive, but that kind of takes away from the exercies…

I have ridden them and like them, but I prefer Escooters. Here’s mine:

Here’s my wife’s:

We enjoy them both. I’m going to give my Raptor to my daughter next year and upgrade to a Synergy Storm, I think.

My brother in law has one. He used to use it to go to the local bars. It’s assisted and gives you a nice boost. Pretty fun. I don’t have a use for one as I don’t go anywhere local. I’d be kinda worried about it catching fire in my house. Idk if that’s justifiable though. I’d say yes if you have places to use it.

I’ve been looking at maps looking for the best routes & there are nice rides down by the canal, I’m not sure if i should get 2 batteries or just one, they do 75km each.

That’s going slow with just one motor enabled. If you’re heavier than the average user, the terrain isn’t flat, you go above economy speeds, or use dual motors your range could drop in half.

I get it, it says the pedal assist is 75km and 55km without so average is probably 30mile range. my friend stays about 17 miles away but i could charge the battery at his while I’m there as it takes 5 hrs to charge but it might be better to get the 2 batteries so i don’t get range anxiety.
