Just that it was a silly sound and couldn’t be worth all that effort to learn to sound in a specified way. I wonder when my mind transitioned.
I took piano lessons from 5-10 probably. I excelled but I got sick of practicing.
My teacher was the daughter of a legendary pitcher for the Yankees
She wanted me to practice all the time so I just quit.
After 13 and a half years of piano practice, as a middle aged adult, I don’t have a “sound” and I never “excelled”. I just struggled through every year and am still struggling.

The important thing is do you enjoy the struggle? I struggle with Word Seek but it’s my favorite hobby.

That sound obviously held your interest @PinCushion. A childs mind will hold interest even if it doesn’t understand.
Yes, I do enjoy the struggle. Thanks.
