true, im 21, some dogs are more work than others and take alot more energy. my dog i just feed him and walk him once or twice a day and he just lounges around most of the day. i wanted another dog but idk if i could handle a high energy breed with my level of lethargy
I’ve literally had a dog my whole life, from a little toddler to now, I am 43. There have been a few months in between dogs were I didn’t have a dog, but that time was spent researching new breeds and deciding a new name, then I would get another dog, it would be hard to imagine my life without one.
But yeah, they can be expensive and a lot of work/responsibility.
I totally understand. I love my pet children, but honestly… My husband takes care of their needs more than I do. I have trouble taking care of myself… Taking care of pets on top of that is even more difficult.
Currently dogsitting our 8-month old golden retriever for 8 days, and it’s a lot of work. He’s pretty well housebroken by now, but still, like you guys said it’s a lot of work looking out for a pet. I have enough trouble looking out for myself as it is…
The cats have seemed strange, since psychosis. I yo-yo between tolerating them, disliking them, and being fond of them.
In psychosis, I wondered if there was something inherently weird about cats. The Egyptians lost a war, partly because of their love of cats, which the Persians ruthlessly exploited. How is that natural?
But Egyptians did not worship felines . Rather, they believed these ‘feline’ deities shared certain character traits with the animals. Bastet is probably the best-known feline goddess from Egypt. Initially depicted as a lioness, Bastet assumed the image of a cat or a feline-headed woman in the 2nd millennium BCE.
