Does soul exist

I am leaning to think that I have no soul, but I have my personality. Does soul exist at all?

I have a feeling this will get moved to unusual believes. Until it does I’ll refrain from posting.

yes, our soul is the very fibre of our being, our thoughts, feelings, emotions etc.

A soul is just something you have to take that leap of faith over I guess. Not being a religious person… I guess it could be odd that I believe I have a soul… But I deeply feel that I do have a soul… it’s been more at peace lately then it has been in a long time.

I know the science world would like to say I’m merely protein, calcium, chemicals and water with a bit of electricity running through it…

But it is that spark that keeps this mundane mix of ingredients thinking, feeling, loving, striving and creating. That spark is what I guess the soul is…

Science says energy can neither be created or destroyed. So there is energy making my fingers hit these keys… some inner spark keeps it going… I feel my soul is tied to that inner spark.

Yes, soul exists.

Absolutely. One main body of evidence is when people experience death and are brought back reporting things witnessed from a distance away from their bodies, and while completely unconscious and dead have reported exactly what doctors were doing to resuscitate them, who was in and out of the room, etc.

Also, astral projection or soul travel where one can leave their body and witness things or events thousands of miles away with no prior knowledge of them, and later find what they witnessed is actually there, or that the event took place at the precise time they astrally traveled. This confirms that our consciousness can remotely view things far away from our physical bodies.

This isn’t just something I read, I have experienced this quite a few times. Not vague impressions but precise things with detail, including news photos aired a day or 2 later identical to what i saw and where my soul was…

Just imagine how much things would suck if someone was trying to or did control your one and only soul. That would make me sort of angry.

I am still not convinced that soul exists, if soul exists, then this would mean there are good and bad souls, but if a person has no soul, would this mean a person is neutral, no good, no bad, but neutral.

So you’d rather believe that humans are (neutral) entities instead of matter containing individuals? Some people may believe the same thing as you, you know. Imagine being the embodiment of nothing and void in the material world…you’d totally go crazy I think.

Maybe so, but when you think that you have never seen me in the real life, all my writings are just the continuation of my electric powered brain thinking, I believe people have their minds and some are more intelligent than others and we use our internal electricity to generate our thoughts that we may write or use otherwise, but I believe it is not soul, but our mind. I am using my mind’s electricity to connect with you there in the world through electrical networks reaching your own brain electricity triggering some thoughts in your mind.

Scientists have the ability to alter someone’s moral judgments by stimulating certain regions of the brain. Religiously and philosophically, moral reasoning has typically been held to reside within the soul. If scientists can alter moral judgments by stimulating the brain, where does that leave room for the soul.

We are the best examples against the existence of the soul. Consider that by taking a pill, we can alter someone’s personality, emotions, and deeply held beliefs.

No soul doesn’t exist. We are chemical machines no mystery there.

Don’t forget how electric we are though there are so many different ancient interpretations of a soul or special energy we have…

does this have any relation to the topic you think?

Bryan, soul does exist.

An entire universe appearing with no causation, now that’s quite a massive leap of faith to make…

One time, at the mall, I opened my heart chakra. Well, mall security really didn’t like that one bit…

Personally I believe I have a soul. Whether it’s electrical impulses generated by my brain or whether it’s something else is not something that I concern myself with. Being the best person that I can be is what I concern myself with.

we have energy (brain waves) while we are living…scientific law states “energy cannot be created or destroyed”…therefore that energy in our brain goes somewhere when we die. I believe we have souls.

It’s all chaos, we are just intelligent animals, we do not live forever. To believe such shows a primitive understanding of the cosmos.

This is the trouble with people like you Bryan. Instead of simply offering your opinion you opt for the usual weapon in the atheist/nihilist armoury: ridicule of opinions differing to yours. You’ll disappear up your own backside if you aren’t careful.

I have studied the cosmos all my life. I have Sagan’s book and have studied astronomy. Please do not presume that I am primitive or thick because I think differently to you.

I know I’m an ■■■■■■■. I’m just so sick of it. I want the world to change. Anyways my primary arguement is that there is no evidence of the soul. Restating that gets old. It’s so easy to attack delusion. I’ll just shut up now. Have a fantastic day.
