A couple years back, I was exercising all the time and it definitely gets better the more I work out. But exercise, specifically high-intensity exercise, can make me symptomatic. Does anyone else deal with this?
I think it could and does. I am pretty stable and exercise is still hard work for me but I think it is still worthwhile but maybe less intensity is the go especially early. Plenty of things to do to keep active and I think in the long run exercise has many benefits for mental illness.
I’ve experienced runners high since being diagnosed. That was nice. Took months to get there. When I work out though my vision gets REALLY choppy then my anxiety spikes and I tend to get paranoid.
I wanna say yes. I NEED exercise, but if it’s too much, that’s no good. Also recently i’m more of aware of what type of exercises I need. I do best with walking, bodyweight strength training and dumbbells.
I do poorly with intense cardio, like jumping jacks, jump rope, etc.
Calisthenics destroy me lol
@TheLogician I’m the kinda person, that if he was locked up, you’d see me on the security cameras doing pushups and squats lol
I walk which is light exercise. No problems here.
Push ups and body weight squats I’m ok with but jumping jacks… high knees… dead bugs…
I find it does, last time i tried. It was during exams and it had led me into hospitalisation.
Im also a walker
Just walking now. Before hospitalization I used to do pull ups also.
Sometimes i think the “poison” like meds or else is in the fat of your body, so if you do strong exercise you get into that memory.
Don’t know if it’s right, i know that effect @TheLogician .
Just making exercises, every 2 days, sit ups, pull ups and so on, never had back hurts since i do it.
You want to brag. But it was the past. You may have forgotten and I can not remember.
Right on that. Parts of meds goes into your fat but also your cells includeing blood cells. Lots of meds and after a while you become one with them, and hard to get rid off.
I do stretching …not a fan of excercise … I am doing good at the moment …
