I was consuming way lot matcha green tea for months (probably ten cups of matcha per day).
I cut down to 4 cups of matcha per day now and I’m feeling my sleep is better and my hallucinations are less strongs. Does caffeine affects your symptoms ?
Caffeine tends to make my blood pressure spike, but my blood pressure hasn’t skyrocketed and I drank like 3 cups of it, basically. So, I dunno. My body can be weird sometimes lol.
Yes. I have to make myself stop drinking it.
I went from a dozen cups to one
Now back up to 3 or 4
Found it has helped me with work as have been feeling exhausted
No I’m a coffee addict.. it does nothing .
I don’t know. I really love, really enjoy coffee—it’s no surprise I often have to limit how much I drink. I know it helps reduce drowsiness and makes me more active, but as for the actual symptoms? I don’t think so. I haven’t noticed anything.
I get jittery and anxious if I drink coffee so I stick with tea.
Yes, it improves concentration and focus for me.
Temporarily though.
I drink a moderate amount and stick to only drinking it in the morning or very early afternoon and it doesn’t affect my symptoms.
I drink around 7 cups a day and haven’t noticed anything. I need my cup of joe.
Caffeine doesn’t mess with my positive symptoms, but it does help with my negatives a bit. Unfortunately coffee upsets my digestion and is not helpful with irregular heartbeat. I have cut down greatly on it.
I have one cup in the AM, then maybe a cup in the afternoon to help get me thru the day.
Idk, maybe it does make me symptomatic. I’m gonna try cutting out the afternoon cup of coffee – or maybe stick with herbal tea. See what happens…
Caffeine helps me I think, for the most part.
It’s a little tough to gauge the magic amount, but on average, it’s usually about the total of two large iced coffees from Dunkin Donuts spread out throughout the day.
(One large iced coffee from Dunkies is about 32oz, so my daily intake is around 8 cups or almost 2 liters .)
Most times I’m good with that quantity, and other times it makes me bug out, lol.
I have a couple of diet Mountain Dews each day but caffeine doesn’t affect my symptoms. Interestingly, they used to give me IV caffeine before ECT to reduce the seizure threshold.
too much of anything is a bad thing they say
holy crap haha honestly i dont really track my caffiene. i use instant coffee too so its not always the same concentration so idk how many coffes that would be. but i usually make it pretty strong (maybe double strength to drip coffee) and have sometimes 4… so its possible im having similar amounts. currious… do you have any heart arrthymias or anything? i hope not. too much coffee gives me heart problems.
Depends on the age…
I stopped drinking for about six months, and it was a bomb when I tried first..
Four cups a day of instant now…
no effect on my symptoms, unless i go way extreme like over 800 mg, and oddly it only applies to natural caffeine containing beverages like coffee as caffeine pills seem to not carry same side effects
Instant coffee is nice because it’s a little more mild IMO, which is good . It sounds like you’re making your cups strong though! Do you get jittery from the caffeine?
Nope no arrhythmias here thank goodness. I actually spoke too soon about coffee being mostly beneficial— had a really nasty panic attack today while driving on the highway and I don’t think all that coffee was too helpful… Will be looking to cut down ASAP
Sorry to hear this— maybe you could try doing half decaf, half regular? Sometimes it helps me be less jittery— might help you too…?
Caffeine does affect me but I notice if everything else is good quality, it affects me less.
