Today we changed our med regime invega to abilify.i just wonder if anyone changed successfully also
Abilify did not work for me but there are plenty of options
Switching meds is risky but needed sometimes
I hope it’s not too bad for you but you may go through a couple before you find one that works for you
Never regret trying to make improvements
The mental health people here for example are more than happy to sedate you into oblivion to keep you under control.
But you need to have something that works for everyone
As the one taking the meds, my view is your say has more weight than anyone else’s
Wish you luck!
So, I was on invega then went off it for a year.
When I got back on meds they put me on abilify.
I’m not sure if that technically counts as switching or changing meds tho…
I will say that the abilify has been better than the invega. For me anyways.
They says abilify weak ap and invega strong ap thats why i m scared that i will get pschotic episode due to this negative difference.did you guys felt anything different regarding this change like hearing voice or something else
Nah, I mean, I was like a vegetable when I was on 9mg invega. Lots of akathisia too. Or whatever it’s called.
I don’t experience many, if any, symptoms on abilify.
Try and not worry too much…
Thank you @TheFallenSun .yes i will get one month 10 mg abilify then they will put on me maintena400mg .i hope everything goes well.thank you for your replies @TheFallenSun @Joker
I changed from invega to abilify too and have been on abilify for like 5 years now. I like it.
Did you experienced any positive symptoms.after change @ThePoet .what was your invega dose?
I don’t recall my invega dose. I liked abilify better tho I felt much less stiff but they may have lessened my dose as well. I’m not sure what the equivalent does are.
Ok thanks for info
