Why does our intelligence fall? Is the identification function wrong? Or is our calculation function wrong?I am depressed. Because the brain’s intelligence is damaged. It ruined my life.

Well consider that theoretically schizophrenia is the mind interrupting itself. Therefore we are too preoccupied to show much outward intelligence.

That doesn’t mean there aren’t a lot of intelligent schizophrenics. They say that IQ is supposed to be stable over time, but I think among schizophrenics it varies. Schizophrenics get disoriented, confused, and stressed out. They start engaging in that “word salad”. I think that once a schizophrenic is treated and stable he or she is as intelligent as the rest of the population.

This doesn’t mean you are stupid. The research says speed of processing and working memory are some of the strongly affected areas, that will bring your score down.

My working memory sucks. Medicine dumbs me down in certain ways but in other ways makes me smarter.

I’m proud of my above average IQ. It’s 110. I can understand most things but not smart enough to get a girlfriend or a job.

The of the frontal lobe, where logic is developed among many other things, is overactive in schizophrenia. It’s hard to explain the details because I don’t really know them myself.
I just know I read a study once where being too happy ended up in lessened creativity for them. In other words, there is a certain threshold where the brain can hold positive emotions before it starts to cause other things to malfunction.

You can probably recover your intelligence. Look for ways to stimulate your brain.

Its not that you can not do any thing about it. You can keep training your brain with things like lumocity app. Keep learning new things etc. New medications are coming with will help with cognition as well.

At times I feel dumb but I am extremely intelligent.
HOWEVER, I feel like grades do not define your intelligence. That doesn’t make sense. Age doesn’t define maturity … so why would a grade define your intelligence?
