What dose …has it helped ur sleeping pattern …i take 10 mg zolpidem still can’t sleep…!!!
Tell your dr you want to try rozere must s melatonin drug that’s rx
Have you tried lifestyle changes? I’m talking like eliminating caffeine, not watching tv or using any electronics in bed (keep bed strictly for sleep), avoid stimulating activity for a while before bed, etc. I tried melatonin, 5 mg I think, but I was trying to knock myself out in spite of terrible akathisia, and melatonin is not strong enough for that.
how are YOU @far_cry0 almost bed time for me , wish me luck no melatonin for me!!!
i am good man but my sleeping pattern is awful …i have my fallow up after 5 days… wish me luck…???
Good luck! When I wake up you always say you’re going to sleep then you stay on another 3-4 hours.
Good night. if I don’t fall asleep ill be back!
but u have to sleep for at least 8 hours that’s compulsory…
@far_cry0 I am sorry man your not sleeping on zolpidem. I tried melatonin and it did nothing for me but I am a big guy so maybe I just didn’t take enough of them.
I take 3 mg of melatonin on most days, but up to 6 mg on a bad day. But I think what helped me most was leaving my phone in another room before going to sleep. I bought an old school alarm clock to wake up to in he morning. I stay away from all electronic devices a half hour before going to sleep.
You should also try to get up at the same time every day. That makes a huge difference when you’re trying to break the cycle of insomnia.
Also, make sure the melatonin you buy is a trusted name brand. I used to think melatonin gave me a headache, but then I found out the NatureMade brand didn’t hurt my head. Some of the cheaper brands have other things in it that can have negative effects on your body.
I have 3 mg melatonin. But I also have 300 mg Quetiapin.
Melatonin is helpful to reset a sleep pattern (jet lag, changing work shifts), but it’s not a long-term solution for insomnia. That said, there’s no harm in taking 6 mg/day for 30 days (it stops working after 30 days).
I used to take that and a lot of other OTC’s and supplements to try to deal with my insomnia and it became an addiction. I am content now with trazadone and trileptal to control the anger side effect it can produce. i haven’t increased the dosage in over a year. I take for granted now that sleep will come nightly and rarely worry about getting to sleep now.
Melatonin was helpful for me, now recently I get heart palpitations and panic attacks, when I take it.
Does anyone know why this is?
I take 2 mg Melatonin and i get a box of 30 which cost $35.
I was advised to buy on ebay or online so i googled and found this is much cheaper alternative cause i cant afford $35.
I take it every second day now because of cost.
My Psychiatrist prescribed it for me.
Not for 30 days but probably for years.
I also have immovane/zoplicone for insomnia but i only take it if i cant sleep and dont feel good.
Its not anything i take daily.
My Bf has difficulty sleeping many nights but does not use aids to help him so he has bad nights and good nights.
Maybe i can suggest Melatonin to him.
Wishing us da good zzzleep .
I don’t even know if our pharmacies have it. O.o
Now its maybe a time to try it since I’m getting close to addiction again. Where for you guys get it?
You’re only supposed to take it occasionally, or for up to a month. Maybe you have been using it too much?
@sarad I buy it at the pharmacy or the grocery store. Anywhere vitamins are sold.
I was using it off and on for about a month, then this started to happen.
Weird. Maybe it is time to switch to valerian root? Just make sure not to mix it with alcohol!
