Sleeping and melatonin

Did anyone try melatonin to improve sleeping pattern?
Any insight on it?

I fall asleep with clozapine but makes me to sleepy next day. Should I give it a try?

I take melatonin. It helps me go to sleep but it doesnt keep me asleep. I take trazadone to help stay asleep.

The only time I’ve ever tried melatonin was when I was manic and couldn’t sleep and it did nothing

But I’ve heard of it helping people too

You could give it a try

It helps me marginally, but enough that it’s worth taking.

@Pickpink thanks. Lately I wake up after few hours and sucks.

@TheStrange that’s helpfull since I was diagnosed with mania in the past.

I take Melatonin every night (5 mg). I fall asleep within 20 mins and I sleep until the morning.

It helps some people and doesn’t help others. I’m going to my doctor to see if it’s safe to take melatonin with all the medications and supplements I’m on already; I don’t want a bad interaction with another med. If she OK’s it I will start taking it and I hope it works (I already bought it). Before anyone takes it, I would advise reading up on it; it is reported that melatonin can have a reaction with diabetes medication and can affect blood pressure. Other places say it’s safe to take.

I took like half a pill, mixed in water. I fell asleep in like 20-30 min but woke up after tow hours. Up to the morning I was in a state between naping and awake, but woke up to early.

Melatonin tablets dont help me.
I need stronger stuff.:crazy_face::slightly_smiling_face:

Melatonin will make you even more groggy the next day, it will add to the effects of Clozapine.

I take melatonin. It sort of takes awhile to take its effect. Maybe 90 minutes before I feel drowsy. I also tend to have dreams sometimes nightmares while I’m on it.
