Does anyone find exercise helps with negative symptoms?

Does anyone find exercise helps with negative symptoms of schizophrenia? I’ve been cycling for a few days and have way more energy. I think it could be the cure I’m looking for.

Absolutely. Its very underrated.

I find lack of negative symptoms helps with exercise.

That’s great to know.

Yeah it can be hard motivating yourself to exercise when negatives are severe.

I’ve tried obsessively exercising in the past and that was one of my more psychotic periods (positive symptoms). I don’t remember the effect, if any, on negative symptoms. I’m always tired though no matter what I do.

Yes. It helps all-around and overall. It helps with everything. The hardest part is just doing it and getting started.

it doesnt really help me. what it does for me is take the edge off afterwards and then i don’t worry about doing nothing the rest of the day. it just keeps me healthy i guess. but i have a lot of unproductive time after a workout.

At least it has some benefit. I really need to lose weight. Like three stone overweight. I cycled 15 miles today.

It would help immensely if I could do it.

I miss my yoga instructor Lorna, I moved cities and gyms. Yoga helped me relax and stay fit. Also I loved the aromatherapy part of it.

Yes, I find it does somewhat.

Yes, having a healthy diet and exercise helps me tremendously with coping to all my schizophrenia experiences/symptoms.

I really miss jogging more than anything. It is like my passion

Exercise does help but my severe negative symptoms are preventing me from exercising. I never get out of bed.

I cycled 15 miles yesterday. My legs hurt today.

well done. how often are you going cycling?

I’ve only been doing it for a few days. Don’t know if I’ll go today as legs hurt or I might take a gentle ride.
