Personally, I’d call now, before they closed, and let them know you are afraid of dealing with withdrawal because benzo withdrawal can be very serious. Stay calm while talki g to them, but stress that you need for them to honor their end of the care contract.
@Charles_Foster Omg, I’m SOOO sorry you’re going through this mess! On top of the reason for needing the meds, you get extra stress in dealing with these people.
I know this – I battle for my Clozaril every week.
But yes – you have to be an advocate, even when the receptionist and/or doctor gets annoyed with it.
I have finally gotten to a point where I don’t need them every day.
Xanax was a miracle drug for me. Really changed things. I used to be so paranoid I was like a frightened child. Really.
Xanax brought me out of the dark and back into the light. I spent 5 years terrified and miserable and afraid to speak. And my doctor never once suggested it. My wife shoved one down my throat one night because I couldn’t stop freaking out and go to sleep. I thought she was trying to get me to fail a drug test and get me kicked out of the Marines. Yes I thought my wife and son were against me too.
When I quit Geodon cold turkey because of some dumbass shrinks opinion of my EKG I had a lot of extra anxiety.
My other shrink. I had two at the time. One at the VA and one that took Medicare. She gave me double my dose in Klonipin. She said it was a stronger benzo and lasted more hours.
I hope you get your meds.
For me. Things are so much better now.
But I still have a crutch with Lunesta. If things ever get too bad. One of those and it’s lights out.
If my doctor ever tries to take me off of that boy am I gonna ■■■■■.
