Do you want to change? My peer asked me

If I want to change in order to join a support group where you learn how to write a legal plan for what you want to happen to you should you become unable to speak for yourself.

I feel like my issues are out of my control. I always take my meds and I am in therapy etc so isn’t that enough? Can I really change myself or my situation???

Who told you to write this plan?

You are a tough case in my opinion Zannah. You are an example of someone who would seem to be doing all the right things for recovery but still has some issues that seem to not be resolving. I honestly don’t know how to solve your thoughts about the Navy Seals. Don’t give up though. You aren’t alone in your difficulties.

I was lucky in that meds took care of my delusions all by themselves.

The County Mental Health I go to recommends it to everyone who goes there

Yes. I’m glad for everyone who gets better and has peace of mind while taking APs.

I’d be interested in hearing about that too. I have a living will, but what you seem to be talking about appears to be somewhat different.

I have a living will. It was having serious strokes that convinced me it was necessary. Seems like a good idea.

Isn’t that just an Advanced Directive? You can get the forms and fill them out yourself.

Yeah, if a plan like this is notarized, they have to follow it, or so I’ve been told.

I’m glad you have a living will. My husband and I need one because you just never know what will happen.

It’s specifically a psychiatric advanced directive
