My father-in-law does during increasingly scarce lucid periods. He just wants to die now.

Schizophrenia is very far removed from being the worst thing a person can experience. There are conditions and diseases out there that make me just feel horrible for the people who suffer them. Brittle bone diseases, where a kid had over 60 bone breaks before they turned ten comes to mind. There is a condition where a kid is missing over 80% of his skin and is in a constant state of trauma. When he was born the nurses were cleaning him off and the skin on one of his limbs peeled right off in what is considered a gloving injury.
Itâs really sad to see a persons identity vanish into thin air.
I wouldnât wish dementia on my worst enemies.
My Moms mind and identity slowly vanished.
Itâs heartbreaking

my mother is loosing eye sight and has only 20 % back on her left eye the right eye is blind. The worlds health organization says the blindness is the worst condition followed closely by Schizophrenia. But imagine how horrible itâs to have both conditions
No, getting stuck in California traffic is the worst thing that can happen to a person. Talk about suffering.
I heard blind people donât get schizophrenia. I thought I read that somewhere.
I can manage with my schizophrenia at this stage. I lack motivation severely. It makes it hard to get up and go. I also have some catatonic symptoms. I freeze in mid air. Itâs a bit strange when it happens.
Overall I think I can manage this illness. One day at a time.
