… to lines from a song, or certain scenes from a movie. Since I have been on seizure meds, it seems I’m nearly brought to tears at times by certain lines from a song, or scene on TV. Anything that is heartwarming, or human, I’m on the verge of tears.
The only reason I ask, is that this is so unlike me.

That could actually be a beneficial side effect… (I swear I don’t think I’ve had anything resembling ‘waterworks’ for maybe 15 years?)
In A.A. They speak of having ‘the cry’. Never happened for me.
For you - I guess that side effect has SOME cons to it, if you’re in mixed company as an example.

Actually I was close to tearing up by listening to the song:
‘How To Dance in Time’ by Blue October.
It’s moving and it compelled me to contact some folks. Nothing bad though.

Thanks guys, I can relate to all of you. At one time or another I have been in all those states.
I am trying to think of it as I am becoming more human. I don’t know if that’s true, or I’m just a basket case LOL. But I’m trying to understand it

@anon64158233 what is it about that song, that chokes you up? Is there an association with that song, or you simply find it heartwarming?

The sound I like… maybe you can confirm but it’s 80s sounding right I mean it lacks a saxophone but I like the sound.
But mostly it’s a song about regret. (I also like the song ‘Regret’ by New Order, haha.
But the ‘Maybe in another lifetime…’ part, is what ‘gets me’ the most. Final answer. Ha

@anon64158233 I get that. I made bad choices, but then I’m not sure I was in a position to do better. Best not to dwell on it for me
And I love, love LOVE the sax. What a Soulful instrument

The Loxapine sorta helped last night. I’m going to try 50mg tonight and see if that helps more. So yes I am a little better. I’m meeting with a new social worker tomorrow

I’ve never been able to sing anything emotional,
I crack with even one emotional line
But I’ve always been like that

@Three I can strongly relate. There are certain songs, like Bruce cockburn waiting for a miracle, that when I try to to sing them, I break down in tears at certain lines
This was never true of me before, it just started a couple of months ago

I’ll tear up to certain heartwarming commercials!
It doesn’t take much.
