Do you sweat a lot?

Whenever my room temp is above 18C I sweat a lot. Is this because of being obese or because of meds?

I get hot flashes, but I don’t think that’s what you’re referring to…

I have night sweats no matter the temperature, it’s from my meds, I also drool in my sleep cause of meds, so when I wake up everything is wet, gross, right?

Not usually, but when I do it comes out under my arms. I hate that so much because of how it dampens your clothes there and leaves sweat stains. So embarrassing if you’re in public. Every time I use the rest room in public I also swab out my armpits with a paper towel to stay dry.

I sweat like crazy all day every day. I try to combat it by having a few ice cold showers every day. I wouldn’t say I’m too overweight. I think it’s the meds. Very frustrating. I go for a quick 5 minute stroll outside and I’m suddenly drenched in sweat. Drives me nuts.

When we were in a weightlifting class at the hospital all the other guys would be completely dry, and I would be soaked in sweat. It can be embarrassing how much I sweat. In my case it is due to a number of things - alcohol, sugar, caffeine, med’s, and a natural propensity to sweat.

My room temp hovers around 18 deg Celsius and it’s still a bit cold for my taste. I’m wearing a sweater and a jacket today. But when exercising I tend to sweat a lot, yeah. It’s got to do with being overweight, for sure, but some people naturally sweat more than others. My uncle for instance barely sweats even when chopping wood.

I sweat when I do long walks. Have to change :tshirt: afterwards.

I don’t sweat easily because I’m not very capable of intense exercise

Its strange. I never sweat during the day, even when im exercising hard. But late at night i can wake up soaked in sweat and have to change bed linen.

I never thought of it. Unless I’m doing something physical I really don’t sweat

I’ll get these hot flashes where I start to sweat profusely but it lasts for like 20 minutes or under.

I don’t get it everyday

When I run and my heart rate is between 145bpm to 175bpm for say 10 minutes or longer I will sweat 1.0kg (2.2lbs) to 1.2kg or 1.4kg depending on the duration of the treadmill exercise. The temperature in the room where the treadmill is at will affect how much I sweat as well. If room temperature is 25 degrees Celsius I will sweat more than say if the temperature was 20 degrees Celsius.

I only sweat when working out mostly. I don’t usually sweat unless I’m doing a strenuous physical activity

I sleep in the basement but the ventilation system is all screwed up in the ceiling, as you can see the duct work doesn’t connect to the vent to the upper room, so all that heat spills out into this room…

It’s usually 25C in this room which is way too hot. I don’t sweat, but I have trouble sleeping which sucks because I already have insomnia problems. I open the window to cool down the room but then it gets too cold (18C). I can never get the temp just right (21C) during the winter while the furnace is on.

I am a person who sweats a lot. Losing a bunch of weight has not made a difference.
