A day or two ago I was sweating through my t-shirt just sweeping my room. It’s due to alcohol, caffeine, and sweating a lot to lose weight for wrestling when I was in high school. I guess that if you try really hard to sweat as much as you can you get good at sweating. Med’s also probably play a role. I did go out a do some mowing in hot weather a while back, but I can’t do much more than a small lawn in the summer heat. I beat that if I tried I could sweat out a surprising amount of weight.
I don’t sweat unless I’m doing physical labor. I worked on a farm and sweated a lot in the summer.
I sweat like crazy at the drop of a hat. Summer is stressful for me because of it. My face and whole body just glazed and dripping. Really embarrasing. And i always leave swamp ass marks on seats when i sit down somewhere while out and about. But i rarely smell bad since i shower twice a day and change clothes every day. They say i have hyperhydrosis. Not sure what from though. Im glad its almost winter here so i can have a bit of a break from it.
It causes more social anxiety too. Like everyone in jeans and a jumper and im in shorts and a tshirt covered in sweat looking like a drug addict or something haha.
Yes, excessive sweating is embarrassing. When I was in Timberlawn hospital we had a weight lifting class where we all rotated from station to station. All the other guys would be completely dry, but I would be soaked through on my t-shirt. You can lose surprising amounts of weight by sweating as much as you can.
Be careful getting so hot the ap’s can cause you to over heat
When I was studying in France, I had this professor whose shirt would always be entirely wet at the end of a lecture. Had never seen that before.
Don’t know why, but if I take a long shower I sweat a lot afterward. Is my skin a sponge?!
It’s hard to say when you’re over heating. All that sweat does cool you down. It feels creepy on your shirt, though.
Do you have hyperhidrosis? I have it as well
Maybe its actually helping me lose weight then. Because ive been exercising a lot lately and sweating me teets off haha. Silver lining i suppose.
I cannot sweat under my arms…it all comes out on top of my head and goes all over my body when I do sweat.
I have profuse sweating too. It’s from long term use of antipsychotics.
I don’t know what that is, but it sounds like excess water in your system.
I’ve heard that professional and college linemen sweat out even more than me when they begin two a day practices in the summer. They have a lot more body mass.
It would probably fit the scientific definition. Skin has a lot of pores in it, and the pores soak up water.
Yes, but it is really easy to replace those fluids. You want to keep your electrolytes in balance.
It’s a condition where you sweat a lot.
I used to haul hay back when they had those rectangular bails of hay, and I would sweat a lot then, and dirt and hay would get caked all over us on the back of the truck. The driver brought ice water to drink between loads to keep us hydrated. As hot and as dirty as it was, I still preferred hauling hay to fast food. I hate that kind of work.
Fast food and retail is misery. I enjoy physical labor jobs, feels more human than other jobs. Nothing better than getting up, doing some hard work, and coming home to shower it all off and relax the rest of the night. These days I can’t do much without overheating from APs. My parents have to pull weeds for me because Geodon messes with thermal regulation.
That is exactly what I was saying. I’ve been thinking about leaving assisted living, but right now there are too many problems with that.
