Do you enjoy concerts?

I was going to make this a poll, but I’m not seeing how to do it on my phone, guess I’ve only ever done that on my computer.

Anyway, going to concerts is one of my favorite things to do. That and traveling are the things I most look forward to.

I suppose I get a little paranoid sometimes, always checking my pockets to make sure no one has picked them, and I often will stand toward the back, or some other place where there will be no one behind me.

My last concert was October 22, Mushroomhead. This Thursday I will see A Killer’s Confession, which actually is fronted by a former Mushroomhead vocalist. :metal::metal: I love small venues best.

I hate them. I hated them before SZ and I hate them now. Too loud and too many people.

I don’t normally do the large venues with a lot of people. There were maybe 200 people at the Mushroomhead concert a couple weeks ago, and I’ll be surprised if there are more than 100 people at the A Killer’s Confession concert.

I can do a couple hundred people for a short stretch, but I pay for it later and I don’t enjoy it. No concert is worth making myself that sick.

I’m going to this in April, snagged a ticket, well I put it on layaway. I’m super excited, but there will be thousands of people there, will be quite an experience. Twelve hours of nonstop music :metal::metal:. As long as I’m focused mainly on the bands I should do fine.

My last favorite concert was Batushka last fall. Actually it was the best concert Ive ever gone to. It was basically theatrics and heavy metal. They called it black liturgy.

Not for everyone but I loved it

Last concert I went to was Sheryl Crow at a place in the mountains called the Mountain Winery. It sat about 350 people.

Right on, man. I’m glad you had a good time.

I have one more concert this year after the AKC concert. In a week and a half I’ll go see Infected Rain, an Eastern European metal band I freaking love. Too bad they’re an opener, will get just a half hour set. After them will be Gemini Syndrome, then the headliner, Wednesday13. After that I might be done with concerts for the winter months.

Yeah APC and Slipknot both are bucket list bands for me, but there are a lot of other bands there that I’m looking forward to seeing.

I won’t get to see them all, there will be five stages, though at least they schedule the bands’ sets such that only two or three of the stages have bands currently playing, that way once the band I’m watching finishes their set, I can walk over to a stage that has a band just getting started, so continuous music, no downtime.

There probably will be times I’ll have to choose between two bands I’d like to see, if they’re playing at the same time on different stages.

I try to go see classical piano virtuosos when they’re in town.

I love concerts, but I’m afraid to go. I almost got trampled once. I could only sit far from the stage, which isn’t as much fun.

Not really. A exception is maybe jazz concerts where you are able to sit down at tables. The listeners are much more chilled out and there is no crowding.
