There are a few out there that portray friendly aliens - E.T., Contact, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, and one directed by Ron Howard, I canā€™t think of its name. There are probably others that I canā€™t remember.

Recently weā€™ve had a few bad movies and tv shows regarding alien lifeforms.

Jodi Foster was awesome in that movie. That part was meant for her. Yes, the bad shows about aliens are a bummer.

Yes, the ā€œAliensā€ series was really grisly. There are others, I think. ā€œDistrict 9ā€ offers an interesting perspective on aliens invading earth.

Stargate SG1 portrays some alien races as good and some bad.

The Asgard are like the greys people talk about.

This is all conjecture. We donā€™t know if they think like us or if they are similar to us. They might be peaceful. There brains might be hard-wired for peace. They could have evolved in a million different ways that are different than us. They might be so advanced that they are on a higher moral plane then us and they reject violence as a means to get what they want. Who knows? Neither of us can really predict what aliens would act like or think like. There is just no way to do that.

If I meet an alien, I will drop what Iā€™m doing, shake his hand or his paw or his hoof, or whatever he has and take him to McDonaldā€™s for a #3 meal.

I basically beleive in heaven which I think is another plane in the sky and space from experiences of enlightenment Iā€™m guessing they are a higher form of existence and a greater form of intelligence.

This is the number:

1 with 23 zeros after it.

So if an Earth like planet exists in 1 out of 1,000 stars that means there are
1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 Earth like planets.

Letā€™s say that intelligent life only exists on only 1 out of 100 Earth like planets
Thatā€™s 10,000,000,000,000,000,000 Earth like planets with intelligent life.

So do you think weā€™re really all that special after all?

Scientists say that if there is life out there, then that life will be much more advanced than mere humans. Therefore, their Schizophrenia will be much more advanced than ours. :grin:

Anyhow, I always watch now and then, Arrival, the 1996 version.

The first thing that popped into my head was, "How the hell could they possibly know that? Think about it. How could anyone count the stars? It just seems impossible. Itā€™s like counting how many grains of sand are here on earth.

I also believe that the only reason they havenā€™t made contact, is because our work is sh%t. I believe something big is coming though.
