That doesn’t cut it
That doesn’t cut it either
I’m atheist/agnostic but I answered yes because of science. One of the thermodynamic laws states that energy cannot be created or destroyed. So I don’t think our consciousness can be destroyed, so I do think it goes off into the universe, maybe recycles, maybe not.
I’m not positive on my position, that’s why I’m an agnostic, it can’t be proven so I don’t believe it, but I do in a way lol.
“maybe not.”
There would have been a explosion in Earth if it wasn’t recycled (Rebirth).
Anyway, My preposition of Rebirth does not come from the Energy theory, Though Consciousness does carry an energy. For example, People who are charismatic have a certain energy in them that other humans can feel and perceive (now don’t call me deluded and give me a list of meds :))
But, Anyway if you see the behavior of Land Animals like Dogs, Cats etc you would know that Animals too:
a. Are able to have compassion and other emotions, which means that it is not restricted to only Humans.
b. Recently Stephen Hawkins (The most outspoken Atheist) concluded that Consciousness DOES REMAIN for about 60 seconds in the body even on Physical Death. So that shuts down the theory that on death of the brain the consciousness = dead. NO, the consiousness does remain as proven by science. NOW THERE HAS TO BE A REASON for the Consciousness to remain. My theory is that the CHAIN STARTS again, the Consciousness causes BECOMING = REBIRTH into other life forms.
c.Now it is proven that ALL MATTER can also be a Wave (Quantum Mechanics). So effectively even our material body is recycled back into the Universe. If Physical matter is getting recycled it makes the theory that Consciousness also is recycled all the more probable.
I do not believe in an afterlife- I have read too much about the brain to think otherwise.
If I did believe in an afterlife, I would maybe just give up on this life, and that would be pretty bad.
My understanding is that attachment to ones life is an obstacle to growth. I am interested in Zen Buddhism, yet that was directly influenced by my days as a fighter- the ancient Japanese samurai practiced Zen in order to overcome their fear of death. Not fearing death is a big deal. That state of mind enables sacrificing oneself without hesitation.
I like to say that are made of stardust and will return to stardust. Life is ephemeral.
Because I believe that this is my only chance at life, I give it my all. That is good in my opinion.
I don’t really fear death, I fear premature death- dying before I have done enough good to feel complete. I have not done enough as of today.
I believe heavily in reincarnation.
So I guess it’s not an afterlife as much as I believe there is more life… after life…
I’ve visited a fair number of near death experience sites on the internet. Their stories have the ring of truth to them. The people who have them swear they are real - more real than the world we live in right now.
Since the Humans have started thinking, The fundamental question remains to be answered = Is there an Afterlife?.
The debate is today between the Spiritualists, The Scientists and Skeptics, and the Dogmatic religionists.
Since a long time, This question has been tried to be answered. During the Greek civilization times, Plato said that he thought there is Rebirth on death. Aristotle denied any Afterlife and was a materialist.
India had hundreds of speculators and philosophers, most of whom agreed on Rebirth.
Then the Religionists spoke about a single life with Heaven or Hell.
Many scientists deny an afterlife.
This question can only be really answered in 1 way. Only Meditating can we come to know.
I do not believe in those NDE Episodes. Most of them are lies and/or brain response to trauma and hallucinations.
would say I am almost definitely SURE that there is neither any Heaven nor Hell.
I don’t believe in God but reincarnation I do believe in.
There is absolutely CERTAIN to an amount of 100% that there is NO GOD.
Only a lunatic would believe in a God.
you believe or you don’t. There’s no proof either way.
we have proof that Consciousness does exist after death for about 60 seconds to 3 minutes. I guess that is a lot of evidence for something that manages to live OUTSIDE of death. That really pushes the argument of afterlife towards a positive direction.
Death is bad, death is real.
Doesn’t mean it’s the end though. Quite a bit of technology out there i should say. Ohhhhhh they gots some technology, holy ■■■■■■■ ■■■■ do they gots it, they gots all the technology they does.
It’s been said once here. “Science will save us.” Soitgoes spoketh. Thats damn right it will, and it’s going to.
The spirits gots all the science we’ll ever need. Back in the day they thoughts it was magical but it’s just science and advanced knowledges.
Care to delve deeper? I want to know where my mommy is and what she experiences now.
That makes no sense to me.
Yes! I believe in a supernatural element to humanity!
I’ve witnessed things influenced by other side.
Spirit bodies can influence physical reality.
We can reincarnate and share soul links with others.
Tracing your souls roots is the most exciting mystery!
My roots come from Dublin Ireland and ancestry is linked to soul birth, but not bound by it!
It’s just @brucewillis 's beliefs. You can click the blue words in the post above to jump to the original thread he made about it.
The world without color is a beautiful place just outside of this world. It is made up of colors our eyes cant see yet. Its where our souls go when we pass. Like butterflies emerging from cocoons. No longer limited by mortality. We become free.
I dont belive in god. Afterlife is higly unlikely. However i do feel time can be "bent"and that the past is still there. Sometimes i belive that maybe a second will last forever. Like time slows down, and eternity appears,
When sick with fever time DOES Slow down, so maybe the second people dies are forever, like near deathe experience lasting forever, when one doesent wake up again.
