Ok. New question. Do you like your AP and what is it?

Im looking to try a new AP. Invega makes me totally uninterested in everything. Anhedonia, avolition. Does anyone have success with their AP?

Geodon has low weight gain, does not make you sleepy, keep you active

Invega does that to me too but it’s the best antipsychotic for me and both of my psychiatrists want me to stay on it so I do.

Actually Invega is good for the negatives, well at least combined with an SSRI. Managed to graduate from university from it and work full time and live alone

I’m able to exercise on the Haldol shot 100 mg.

My favorite AP was Invega but I can’t afford it anymore :frowning:

APs work differently on different people. Tell your pdoc you’re miserable with it and see if they’ll agree to a change. I remember being on risperidone for only two days and told my pdoc I refused to ever take it again due to severe movement disorder issues with it. She changed it right away.

I’m on 80 mg latuda.

I’m happy with it except I get anxiety and insomnia after I take it with dinner.

I’m good morning and daytime but as soon as I take my latuda tablet with dinner I get anxiety that makes me want to sleep so I don’t feel bad but I usually can’t sleep because of insomnia.

I’m stable and well on latuda otherwise and want to stay on it.

I’m going to ask for anxiety medication to take with latuda at dinner and imovane to help me sleep.

I have gained weight but not as bad as with olanzapine.

Olanzapine made me gain 30 kg above my normal weight while latuda only around ten kg.

I really felt Geodon was my miracle med. I’m still infuriated about it being taken away from me.

I don’t take APs because I am on Clozapine and most react to them. :crocodile::crocodile::crocodile:

Risperdone… it’s okay. I feel normalish. When i was on a higher dose i slept a lot and gained weight… on the current dose things seem normal

I still have audio stuff but it is low or mostly when i am falling asleep or walking up.

Risperdal keeps me sane and out of the hospital.
I’ve tried switching off Risperdal many times but always end up going back on it.

I’ve been in Rexulti 3mg for roughly a year, and overall it’s worked great. Though I’ve been having increased symptoms the last few weeks, so I hope it’s not losing effectiveness.

No weight gain, normal sleep. No extra-pyramidal side effects.

I love all my AP’s: Risperidone, Geodon and Seroquel. My pdoc is now trying to wean me off some of them with my approval.

Amisulpride. Helps with negatives at certain doses. Good for not gaining lot of weight. At least for me. But can elevate prolactin for some people.

I’m on clozapine but I want to talk to my pdoc about going on Vraylar, Caplyta, or Rexulti. The clozapine works awesome, but I am SO tired of weighing over 270 lbs. I had a weigh in today and all the early morning swimming is helping a bit, lost 3 lbs fat and gained 3 lbs of muscle, but I still feel as big as an ocean liner. :frowning:
