Depression hit me like a ton of bricks!

Out of the blue a wave of sadness hit me.
Thinking of the past, thinking of my dog.
Started crying, remaining on the couch all day.
I am going to talk to my doctor about reintroducing a small dose of Lamictal.
These bouts of depression are getting to me.
I need a pick me up.

Hugs to you, Wave. You’re going through a huge life change right now. It makes sense that you would be having mood troubles. But it will pass. You’ll adjust to your new home and establish a new routine, and you’ll start feeling better.

Yes, it could just be the upheaval and the new environment.

I was like that for about a month recently. Things have picked up again. Don’t let the temporary bad times get you down.

But If you think it’s worthwhile talking to your doctor about Lamictal though, then do it.

Moving can be one of the most stressful life events you will go through. Like people said, things are going to get to you until you get acclimated to your new surroundings.

My older brother was given a poodle named Amy from a couple who’s baby was allergic. Since then her life has been great. She’s been walked every day and she even went canoeing a few times. There will be an adjustment period, but I’m certain that you both will get acclimated to your new homes. I know you loved your dog. I hope you feel better about it soon.

I had a hard time with symptoms recently even though my medication absorbed most of it. I’m still in the thick of it with the surgery/radiation problem. The extra medication will probably help. I had to up mine with my pdoc recently and it is working for the most part.

You’re in my thoughts and prayers.

Yeah I’m feeling a lot better.
My bother talked some sense into me.
I think that I’m stressed out about the move.
It’s a big change for me, but my brother tells me to go slow.
I’ll be fine.
Thanks for your concern @SpecialK.
