I may be completely off but since cutting my daily ~5 tablespoons of sugar in my coffee and now using none. I’ve also been walking more than usual and watching my portions more than usual. Yet I’ve gained 1 lb so far.
Now here’s where I may be completely off but could me cutting sugar out make my body exert energy less or something and storing fat more than usual??? Because sugar tricks you into thinking you have more energy than you do so now you cut it out your body says “omggggg where’s all my energy gone. I need to store more fat than usual”.
Last year I had a health kick and stayed the same for a week before I started to lose weight. That is why this time I didn’t weigh myself for nearly two weeks.
It is silly measuring yourself every day. Daily fluctuations can be around 2lb for some people.
Once or fortnightly weighing is the best way to measure to see a difference.
First weeks are often misleading as the body adjusts to gaining muscle and losing fat adjustments. That was certainly the case for me.
Yeah @labratmat I’d say the 1 lb gain is trivial but I’m just surprised it’s gone up at all?? I think I’m gonna wait till next Wednesday in the morning to weigh myself again. Sounds like a good idea. If I’m up another pound I gotta start questioning my diet. Hope it all works.

Yea I sometimes feel like an old person for talking about the weather so much but it can be pretty fascinating at times too! We are in the same weather zone!
İ m drinking my coffee with one sugar. Other than i don t get any sugar daily. Because in turkey sugar not made from sugar beet. İt made from corn syrup which is highly diabetic. That s why i have to be careful😕
