I have now dropped my calorie allotment from 1450 down to 1,000. In one day I’ve already dropped a whole pound. That’s after months of continuous, steady gains. 1400 calories is just too many calories on these meds, I don’t care what the dietitian says.
Another strategy I’ve adopted is that of not eating any more sweets. I’m still going to add a little sugar to my cereal, but other than that, no cookies, candy, pop, pop tarts, desserts, or any sweets of any kind. If I get a sugar craving, I’ll have a piece of fruit. I know I can do this because I’ve done it before.
Getting rid of all that sugar should be great for my physical and mental health as well as my weight.
Hey skinny me, i hope it works out for you, these meds really fk us over with weight gain sometimes, I’m not skinny but i was 15.8 stone a while ago but dropped a stone and now its steady, i would love to tone up which requires a little exercise but my cfs/me is not letting me, i usually eat in moderation & try getting the healthiest meals with meat/greens in etc but i get the low calorie meals, i dont like too much sugar either but fresh fruit is something i’m working on & its always a struggle to eat cereal in the morning…
I had a dessert today, an American style vanilla cheesecake slice, it was yum! But i still have some mini rice pudding desserts left but there low cal

Well people, for the last four days, I’ve been losing about a half pound each day on a 1000 calorie diet without sweets of any kind except fruit. This strategy appears to be totally working! It’s the first thing I’ve found that works in 15 years! I’ve recently gone from 168.8 lbs. to 166.8 lbs. in 4 days. I know it’s not much, but at least its headed in the right direction.
