Craving for a Benzo

I’ve quit benzos a couple of months ago but have a stash to use as a prn. I took 1 a couple of days ago and life was easier.

I feel like a benzo junkie craving for them but I have to say No. Shame.

Any struggles with benzos for you?

I wanna quit benzos however they calm me down and it sucks that supposedly getting off of clonazapam is hell

I went through living hell going through Ativan withdrawal in the past.

I still take it but not everyday now.

It wasn’t a big deal until I quit coffee. Now I have taken 2 in the last week because of anxiety.

I hope it settles down.

You’re probably right. I’ve heard coffee withdrawals can last up to a week. So probably it’s just that.

Without coffee after a few days I get panic attacks and depression

Haven’t had one in a couple of months the craving is real they relaxed me and my thoughts

It’s strange. I always thought coffee caused anxiety, but in my case it seems to rather calm me down.

We’ll see if it gets better.

It’s good you have self control bro it must be difficult to know you have benzos and not use them even though you’re suffering.

I have some lorazepam prn but I never use it
It doesn’t do it for me

I used to take lorazepam for sleep. I liked it

i just use lorazepam as a PRN. I don’t use it often just when i have a bad day.

I’d been prescribed large dose of klonopin 6mgs

I downed it to 2mgs a day.

Still suffering from withdrawal…

Ive never craved a benzo but i went through horrible withdrawals from them

I take high dose gabapentin now for my generalized anxiety disorder. It’s been really transformational for me. It’s not perfect but it definitely does the job far better than any benzo I’ve taken.

I still have prn xanax but I never take it and I don’t feel the need to take it either.

Honestly benzos help a bit, but they mostly make me tired and hungry.

I like gabapentin far better. I’m just much more functional and I have zero side effects too.

I’m supposed to try getting off Clonazepam soon
I tried doing it myself once and it was a disaster. I took the pill and within 30 min or so I felt good again

I wish I never got started on it
