Covid 19 Part 4

Okay, I started a new thread. I have noticed that for the past two months I have mostly talked about the coronavirus crisis. It is an easy subject to discuss because this crisis has affected us all in one way or another. The number of global coronavirus infections and deaths is just rising and many nations are reporting alarmingly new coronavirus infections such as Russia. I think that the global tourism industries are severely affected by this crisis. People are just afraid of traveling to regular tourist destinations.

It probably takes many months before there is a safe vaccine. Here where I am we do not need to stay at home and we can go outside for example to ride a bicycle. Many stores are open and many service shops such as beauty shops are open as usual. So we are not under the total lockdown. Restaurants are not open but they sell take aways so that people can buy some restaurant food. They are talking about opening schools. I have my doubts about any potential vaccine and we may be with this coronavirus much longer than people may think. I try to keep a safe physical distance from other people.

I have doubts about finding a vaccine too.

I am coping very poorly with thinking about this all the time. I just canā€™t take this being all that is going on. I miss my kids and canā€™t stand being so anxious all the time.

I needed a vacation so bad but then ended up working from home for a while which made me go pretty crazy and then now I am working around COVID-19 testing and I just donā€™t enjoy anything anymore.

I am being very negative to myself and I just wish I could cope better.

years and ongoing, of gov not protecting the environment.

I have a funny feeling that this is going to be our new normal.
Society is going to have to adjust to all of this.

The economic crisis has barely begun. Itā€™s going to get a lot worse, and it will be worse than the virus. But the media frenzy thatā€™s scaring everyone will hopefully end soon.

I donā€™t know if they will find much else to cover unless there is a war or natural disasters, or a crime wave, didnā€™t really think about that scenario yet.

Do you have a therapist you can talk to @brandotron? It might help. A lot of therapists are seeing people over conference calls or the phone

Fauci indicated that weā€™re likely to learn more about the drugā€™s effects quickly regardless. Since there was no drug known to be effective against COVID-19, remdesivir becomes whatā€™s called the ā€œstandard of careā€ by default. As more drugs enter trials, their activity will no longer be compared to placebos; instead, theyā€™ll be compared to remdesivir.

So far, no magic bullet drug.
I donā€™t have a lot of faith in these drugs being tested now.
