Could you live off $155 a week once your bills and expenses are paid?

But you need to get your weekly food out of it?

yes
I use maximum 300 euros/month for food

Yes, just need to be economical about what you buy.

I can’t do that with both fuel and food expenses. Maybe if I stopped going places to paddle board or hike and ate crap food.

@shutterbug This is after all your bills are paid?

After bills are paid? Absolutely.

I mostly eat organic food and I purchase directly from local farmers whenever possible. I also eat a lot of fresh vegetables and fruit. I don’t purchase takeaways or dine out much and I buy no pre-made, processed food at all. It’s not cheap.

Fair play to you @shutterbug You eat very well.

I feed a family of 4 with under $140 per week. That includes cleaning supplies and toiletries

Here’s what I do.

I start with this week’s sales. From that, I make a breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack plan for the whole week.

Then I go through and load digital coupons and physical manufactures coupons I get in the mail.

Then I shop!

I rprobably could, but I like my hobbies and they cost a lot so I wouldn’t be happy on that.

My grocery bill was £35 a week before covid. But I shopped at Aldi then. Now I can’t do the shopping myself, so have to order online. Cost of living has really made a lot of things more expensive

I have some health issues (diverticular disease is one) that were caused by rubbish eating. I don’t want for them to get worse. I also don’t want any new health problems from a poor diet. I consider it a good investment in better health.
